OVERVIEW
The departments has two sections under its stewardship. It has the Legal Studies section which provides efficient, effective and standardized training and development aimed at ensuring the production of high quality I/C Crimes, investigators and prosecutors in the Zimbabwe Republic Police. The Department offers the following programmes: Diploma in Law, Diploma in Forensic Science Investigations and Certificate in Law and Policing.
The department also runs the Community Education section which has developed as a flagship provider of highly competent personnel in the training fraternity. The department currently offers its courses on a full-time basis to police officers and members from sister organizations dotted across the country. The programmes currently on offer are Bachelor of Community Education (Honours) in Life Long Learning in Policing and Diploma in Community Education in Life Long Learning in Policing under the associateship of the University of Zimbabwe. The department also offers a Certificate in Training Methods which is an internal course.
